Hi, I’m Sherry…
Knitsamazing is a product of my wish to be more than the “Nana Who Knits” for her grandchildren. I think every relative I have is ready to move South just to escape being gifted another winter hat/scarf/cowl.
Married for 46 years, I am a minister’s wife who is now retired from my career as a Site Operations Manager for a large community health center. I finally am attempting to knit through my lifetime hoard/stash of 1200+ skeins of fabulous fiber! It is my mission to keep my fingers agile by providing acts of kindness through knitting.
I hope you will join me by reviewing (and suggesting) patterns and fibers for charity/gift knitting. Tune in to my YouTube channel starting in April 2019, Knitsamazing, for short videos to learn “what’s needed and where” in the world of charity knitting. I will also be blogging on this website about specific charities looking for knitted items, including requirements for those projects (fiber type and weight, color, acceptable patterns, skill level needed, deadlines, etc). Please contact me about any for which you have knowledge. Regardless of experience level, all knitters can bring a smile to recipients of their handiwork as Hands + Heart = Joy!
Thanks for your support. Hope to hear from you soon.
